Individual Sessions
Counselling and Psychotherapy are often described as the "talking therapies". But sometimes words fail us. Working with pictures, images, symbols, the location of feelings within our bodies, and dreams, we are often enabled to connect with and release those innermost thoughts and feelings which are the key to finding a path through to freedom.
Individual Sessions can support us in identifying buried feelings, behaviour patterns, unresolved issues and sources of meaning in order to create a greater sense of balance for ourselves in our everyday lives.
Creativity & Art in Therapy may include:
Visualisation Techniques
Artwork
Objects & Symbolism
Dreamwork
Working with the body
Role Play
Drumming and other sound techniques
Individual sessions (usually 60mins) are run in North Oxford area. Please contact me
Both Counselling and Psychotherapy enable us to address difficult areas. Counselling often has a focus on current issues, whilst psychotherapy may work on a deeper level with past issues. In reality the approaches overlap, and I use the general term therapy where you will be supported in working through whatever you most need to address at your own level and pace.
Coaching holds a much more specific focus, but need not be any less creative. Working with specific goals, coaching can provide us not only with the skills and techniques to find a path through the process, but also to arrive, to achieve what we specifically want to achieve at a particular point in our lives.
One of the most important parts of the process is the relationship between client and therapist, and the support you receive in deepening your sense of trust in your own process. In this way, therapy not only supports us in working with current or past issues, but also can be an invaluable part of our personal and spiritual development.

Life Journey Work
Therapy provides individual support in a safe environment of trust and confidentiality to enable us to work through our own life journeys at a level of our choosing. By exploring and resolving past events in our lives, we are enabled to free ourselves from those things that may restrict and confine us in our present lives. Our life journeys can be described as a series of cycles of beginnings and endings within the whole circle of our birth, life and death.
"We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time" T S Eliot

Events, situations and relationships from our past all combine to make up who we are as an individual in the present. At times, we can find that these different parts of us are out of balance, and psychosynthesis is a helpful process in identifying those different parts and any imbalances, bringing us back to our heart centre and the right balance for us.
Working creatively, using all our senses, allows us to (re)discover our own balance of body, mind and spirit to become the whole person we were born to be.

"What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from." T S Eliot
